2 Happy Hours coming up!

UT-Alabama: Tuesday, Oct 16
Carpool, 4400 N Fairfax Drive, Arlington (Ballston)
6 pm - whenever

We are coming up on the Third Week in October, which means it's time to get geared up early for the big game! Come join us Tuesday at Carpool with the DC Chapter of the University of Alabama to enjoy happy hour specials and get your smack talk primed!

Tuesday at Carpool is Burger Night - 1/2 price burgers ALL NIGHT! Happy hour ends at 7PM so come early! HH includes several drink specials, and select appetizers are 1/2 price.

UT-USC-UF-UGA: Wednesday, Oct 24
Bottom Line, 1716 Eye St NW, DC
6 pm - whenever the kegs run out

We have purchased 2 Miller Lite kegs for an SEC-east four-for-all! It's a big weekend in the SEC-east: UT plays USC and UF plays UGA, so it's a big night to talk smack since the UT-USC is far more important than the UF-UGA game for the SEC-east title. Oh, and did we mention that the BEER IS FREE!?! All you have to do is show up thirsty!

We only need a few people to participate in a fair, so even if you're only available part of the time and are willing, let us know. Chattanooga and Martin grads are encouraged to attend as well!

ut/uf happy hour

Join us for a happy hour with our friends -- yes, we actually like these guys -- the DC Gators. They're very excited about sharing a few drinks with us, so bring a friend and come on down.

Specials: Happy hour prices for drinks and appetizers ($2.50: domestics, house wine, and house mixed drinks. Half price appetizers). They will also give us part of the bar and some of the restaurant area to mingle.

Please e-mail tnalumni@gmail.com if you have any questions.

Registration is not required, but it will help us determine how much room we need at the bar. To RSVP, go to: http://utufhappyhour.eventbrite.com/

What other schools would you be interested in having happy hours or other joint events with? We're looking at happy hours with schools like South Carolina and Alabama right now. What do you think?

got pictures?

Over the years, we've been posting pictures of chapter events and other outings. You can see everything we have, so far at http://picasaweb.google.com/utdcalumni. We're adding more, so check back. And if you have any pictures you'd like to share, send them our way, and we'll post them, too. The more the merrier! Just e-mail them to rachel@utdcalumni.com.

wanna get more involved in the dc alumni?

If you're interested in learning more about the chapter and helping out in some capacity, we're always glad to have new people get involved. Whether you'd just like to help with a game watching party or would like to be on steering committee or chapter board, let us know. E-mail utdcalumni@gmail.com, and tell us what you'd like to do!

Alumni from all campuses are encouraged to join us!

2007 football game watching parties

We're excited to be watching the 2007 football season at Bailey's in Crystal City. Game watching parties start 30 minutes prior to each game. As usual, we will be having raffles during half time. The raffles are the chapter's only way to raise money to operate throughout the year. The money is used to supplement events and pay for any satellite feeds for football or basketball broadcasts. For more information, see below. We are continually striving to make everyone's game watching experience enjoyable. Questions and comments — for better or worse — are encouraged. Please e-mail utdcalumni@gmail.com.

For complete details on game watching parties, click here.

everyone's welcome!

The Washington, DC Chapter of the University of Tennessee National Alumni Association is a gold medal award-winning chapter. Alumni, family, friends and fans of all UT campuses — Knoxville, Martin, Chattanooga and Memphis — are welcome to join any chapter events.

If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail the chapter president at utdcalumni@gmail.com. We're always glad to see new faces, so come on and join us!
